Inspiration

So I haven't written in ages.  I haven't felt that I needed to say anything.  I have been too overwhelmed with dealing with all the daily change, and chaos to really sit down and get stuff out of my head.  I guess it happens to us moms, but I need to purge thoughts and ideas.  It always made me feel better when I did, so I guess I will try again.  I don't even know if anyone reads this, but it is really more for myself than for anyone anyhow.

Over the last year we have added a dog, changed cats, added a gerbil, 3 crabs, and a kid.  Yes a kid.  Not ours, but sometimes I wonder.  Kaila is one of the girls in our youth group who happened to need a home and a family while she finishes her senior year.  It is interesting having a teenager in the house when all we have known is tweenies and toddlers.  But we are managing.  We have learned that being organized keeps momma happy, and communication keeps us all happy.  But none the less the Mundy tribe is a little larger this year.

We tried a virtual school program for the 3 older Mundy kids but it was not working for Noah.  He needs the guided socialization he gets through programs for him at school.  As much as I didn't like it, we decided to place them all back in Bethel schools this year.  We will see where we go from here.  But Annika likes being the only one here during the day again, she has us all to herself!  Aaron is plugging away at school and work.  He will be done with his Associates degree on June, and then he will be done with his Bachelor's the next June.  So in 18 months Aaron will be done!  I can't quite say the same for myself.  I will be done with my Associates in June, but I am still looking to enter the RC program next fall, which will add 2 more years.  All I can say is don't go into the medical field!  It takes forever!!

Other family news: Aaron's family is expanding!  Cousin Kate is due in a week, and I am waiting for a phone call to high tail it to Springfield to attend to Kate and Marcus at the birth.  I am very excited for the arrival of little "Al".  And it is an honor to be asked to share in such an amazing moment for a family.  Kate and Marcus are amazing people, and will make amazing parents!  Yet they are not alone, there are 3 other cousins who are expecting to add to their families as well.  I think one of the aunts counted and there will be 11 babies under the age of 4!  Holy fertility batman!!  I am also excited that my sister, Deb is moving closer to us!  Deb and her husband, Dean have moved to Huntsville Alabama for Dean's new job.  He was contracted previously, but this is a permanent position.  We get to have our first family holiday this Thanksgiving, and I am very excited to see her and show her my little home.

That is all that I can think of to bring things current.  I am hoping to do this again more often than once a year!
